A forum to address systemic issues that perpetuate the cycle of poverty and the criminalization of individuals living in poverty.
About this Event
Waterloo Region Community Legal Services is hosting a forum to address systemic issues that perpetuate the cycle of poverty and the criminalization of individuals living in poverty. This event will bring together members of not-for-profit organizations, members of local grassroots organizations, front line workers, individuals with lived experience, policy makers, academics, and community members to foster dialogue, share insights, and develop effective strategies to combat the issues of poverty and the criminalization of poverty.
This event will feature a combination of panel discussions and networking opportunities. The forum seeks to empower participants to become more effective advocates for social justice and equal rights, fostering a collective commitment to break down the barriers that perpetuate the criminalization of poverty. There will be a highlight on the power of grassroots movements, community-led initiatives, and lived experience as catalysts for change.
Admission is free, though space is limited. Register today and join us in the fight for change!
